Building Up a Record with Social Media, Networking and Google Adwords
Some of the greatest records were never heard. Most songs will never break. In this era, a record can instantly go viral due to social media or take months to years. Once this music video was made, we came up with a plan to build up the record.
On the social media side, we contacted this artist's current fan base and used ads on Facebook and Instagram. By connecting with his current fans on Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin, we were able to get the views, likes and comments up very quickly. Simultaneously, we ran Facebook and Instagram Ad campaign outside of the US because the clicks per views, impressions and etc were cheaper. Once we obtained higher views, like and comments, we then brought the ad campaigns to the US. Many artist are building up songs/records in this way, such as J Balvin and Nicky Jam, who both build their records up in Colombia and then brought it to the US.
Through the labels network connections, we were able to attain meetings with artist managements groups and artist managers to consult about directions, future gigs, future tours and etc. The label as well attained a radio manager that was able to get the song on 40 different US radio stations. Which are currently being played as of May 21, 2018.
For Google Adwords, we did the work both through a 3rd party marketing company and in-house. We discussed with the marketing company the parameters of our targeted audience as well as receiving feedback and collaborating to develop strategies for campaigns.
