Social Media Video Content: Music Artists need to give their audience value
The current state of power in the music industry is shifting from the labels to the artists. This is due to social media. Music can now be created and shared in an instant on social media platforms. But this also creates a problem because a music artist can be lost in all the noise/all the other social media content. In order to breakout of the noise in social media, you have to give your audience value to make them actually care. Value can be created by giving free stuff away, giving knowledge/insight, providing entertainment and etc. I proposed that we can give the audience insight/the behind the scenes of an artist's life . Insight into something that not the average person does not have access to been shown to be successful time and time again. That is why there is so many reality tv shows. By doing this we are giving the audience the insight to what it takes to make it in the music industry, from photoshoots to studio time to events and all the small stuff in between. The small stuff in between is one of the main factors that can show that the artist is genuine. Because after a while social media audiences will be able to tell if an artist is being fake. Here are some videos of a day with an artist.
